A precision instrument for the short game

Look at the hole.
Hear the genius.

You just putt. The genius reads every putt, rings the pure ones, and quietly rebuilds the part of your game that decides your score. The only practice that doesn't feel like practice.

Machined to disappear into the hole.

A matte dimpled shell, a machined collar engraved by hand, a sensor at the center. It seats in a regulation cup and waits. No screen to stare at, no line to break. You just putt and forget it's there - it reads, and it answers.

Sound / The signature

The reward you can hear.

Three tones, one family - and the one you never want. Pure rings the bell. A miss answers late and ugly, roughness that refuses to settle. Your ear learns what pure sounds like, so your stroke starts chasing it on its own. Make one pure putt and you'll want a hundred more. And the reward is yours to set: a temple bell, a Vegas jackpot, an 8-bit touchdown, lo-fi, deep and low. Pick yours below.

An interactive sound ladder. Activate a row to play its tone: the miss is a late, dissonant cluster, short is 396 hertz, good is 417 hertz, and pure is a 528 hertz temple bell.

After the round

The putt is screenless. The film and the stats aren't.

At the hole there is nothing to read but the hole - you look up, you hear the verdict. Every putt is still captured. After the round, Session Replay rolls it back: the exact path, where it broke, where it died, and the one drill that fixes it. It's you, getting better, on replay - the part you'll keep coming back to.

The read

It reads the ball at the moment of truth.

Every other aid measures the input - your stroke, your path, your mechanics. Putting is the one stroke where the input isn't the verdict; all that matters is how the ball arrived at the hole. The line it held, the pace it carried, whether it was ever going in - a putt struck pure carries six inches past, a lucky one dies at the lip. The instrument reads the outcome, at the only place it can be judged.

The mechanism

It lives in the cup.

Wherever you putt

It works anywhere you putt.

Any regulation cup is home - the 18th green, or the one in your office. Set PuttGenius into your own practice green and the loop comes with it: every pure putt rings, every miss says nothing. The reps that actually rebuild a stroke happen between rounds - at home, on the green you walk past every day. Now they answer back, and you'll keep finding reasons to walk over.

Between rounds

Your green. Your reps. Same verdict.

The last 40%

You never trained this. You couldn't.

Forty percent of your strokes happen on the green - and you've practiced almost none of them with intent. Not laziness. The hole never gave you anything to train against: a pure putt and a lucky one vanish exactly the same way. Make or miss, you learn nothing and walk to the next tee.

That's the loop PuttGenius closes: the first instrument that answers from inside the cup, the instant the ball arrives. The most boring part of your game becomes the part you can't put down - and the 40% you never trained is the 40% that finally starts dropping your scores.

The loop

Stroke. Read. Reward.

One closed feedback loop, run from inside the cup. Three beats on every putt - you do the first one, the genius does the other two.

01
Stroke

You putt

Look at the hole, not the ball. The instrument is already listening.

02
Read

It reads the truth

Line, speed, and whether it was ever going in, sensed at the moment of arrival.

03
Reward

It pays you back

A tone, the instant of the make. The feedback your stroke has been missing.

Rebuilt for accuracy

The proof is in the build.

An exposed copper sensor coil, a machined chamber, a read taken at the only height that matters. The numbers are the spec, not a slogan.

How it's built

Every part, in its place.

Exploded view of PuttGenius: cap, dimpled orb, engraved collar, sensor post, clear cup housing
The origin

It started with a mason jar.

An empty mason jar, dropped into a hole out of pure laziness - just to bounce the ball back instead of fetching it. A pure putt rang off the glass; a miss said nothing. The accident became an instrument.

Yes, the link really is /jump_in_pool. We sent an early build to a friend named Costa - he heard the cup ring back a make and nearly went in the pool. The name stuck.

Why PuttGenius

Everything else trains the swing. Nothing trains the make.

Built for the golfer serious enough to own their practice - low to mid handicap, a green at home or the office, and done with reps that teach nothing. And for the coaches who train them.

vs a putting mat

A surface, no truth

A mat gives you somewhere to roll. It can't tell you if the putt was ever going in, or why it missed.

vs an app

Your phone, not your putt

An app reads taps on a screen. No instrument in the hole means no real read - and no reason to look up.

vs a launch monitor

Built for ten feet back

Launch monitors live for the full swing. None of them read the one stroke that happens at the cup.

The only trainer that reads and rewards the putt from inside the hole.

Before you ask

The honest answers.

Will it work in my setup?
Yes. It seats in any regulation 4.25 in cup - your home green, your office putt, or the 18th. No proprietary mat, no special hole.
Do I have to stare at a screen?
Never at the hole. You look up and listen; the read waits for you after the round, in Session Replay. Screen-free where it counts.
Setup and charging?
Drop it in the cup and putt - that's the setup. It's rechargeable, with a full practice session on a charge.
Is it worth $1,249?
It's the founding price, and it's backed by a love-it-or-full-refund guarantee. If it doesn't change your short game, you don't keep it.
